The Rockabilly Women show not only brings to life the music and stories of four women who pioneered the genre, it also makes you want to jump up and dance in celebration. During the show Narelle Evans relays stories from the lives of these four gutsy gals while showcasing a variety of rockabilly styles supported admirably by the Jetbacks. Entertainment of this calibre isn't easy to find, and with her vocal talent and ability to portray the very essence of the women she's presenting, Narelle has tapped into and captured the heart and soul of Rockabilly. With bass player Chris Perry taking the lead on some of the songs, Jack Evans performing searing solos and Antero laying down the groove, the show's momentum doesn't skip a beat when Narelle momentarily disappears for costume changes, reappearing wearing yet another fabulous frock and bringing authenticity and creativity to the show. The enthusiastic capacity crowd lapped up every moment, demanding an encore, which was thoroughly appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to go and see this show again. - Dee Dee Lavell
