The Stuarts Point Players return to the stage this November with two one-act comedies, which are sure to get you laughing.
The first half of the Players’ production has just three characters on stage, for the comedy ‘GLASS’. A fatigued matinee idol on the verge of a nervous breakdown comes home one day from his long-running Broadway hit and discovers an audience watching him through the plate glass window of his high-rise apartment. An excellent Twilight Zone-style play.
The second half features six actors in ‘ASYLUM’. This play is set in a mental institution group therapy session. The four patients have adopted the personae of a fairy tale character to cope with the disturbing reality of how and why they were committed. All will be revealed. Or will it?
The plays will open at the South West Rocks School of Arts (Roxy Cinema) on Friday, November 15, and then move to Stuarts Point on Saturday, November 16. On Sunday, November 17, there will be a matinee performance at the Oddfellows Hall in West Kempsey.
BYO everything to Stuarts Point and Kempsey, with table seating. Roxy Cinema is fully licenced and has theatre seating.
*Both plays are rated MA and contain sexual references and occasional strong language.
