Internationally renowned wildlife photographer, Leo Meier, is presenting a Wildlife Photography Workshop in Kempsey at the end of this month.

The workshop is being seen as a precursor to a “Wildlife in the Macleay” Exhibition to be held later in the year, around September and October at the Slim Dusty Centre. It’s expected there will be some 60 photographers involved in the Exhibition and a display of some 120 photos of local wildlife.

The workshop is being organised through the Macleay Valley Arts Council and will provide a great opportunity for keen photographers here in the valley, to pick up some very handy tips.

“The workshop will be a fantastic opportunity to hear someone as experienced as Leo Meier. Leo has produced over thirty photography books during his career and is highly regarded," Steve MacDonald, President of MVAC said. "The workshop will have something interesting for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or you've been interested in photography for a long time.”

The Wildlife Photography Workshop is being held on the evening of Thursday 27th May from 5.30pm until 8 p.m. at the Oddfellows Hall in Kemp Street. You are advised to book early as the workshop is expected to be popular.

Cost is $10 with a light supper.

*This project is supported by Arts Mid North Coast through the NSW Government's Art Restart program.
