Jill studied through the National Art School in Graphic Design and then a Diploma in Education allowed her to teach Visual Arts in secondary schools for many years.

Since retirement, Jill built her studio to teach adults and she has been very involved in traveling across N.S.W. for exhibitions and competitions. She is a multi award winner, specialising in oils, pastels and charcoal. She tutors many workshops for art societies and the Glasshouse Regional Gallery in Port Macquarie.

Jill is a landscape painter, where the focus on strength of light and sensitivity in the Australian landscape and waterways have dominated. Her works show a development of mark making in a gestural technique which compliments the scale in which she loves to work.
